Breyer Traditional Newsworthy Hunter Pony

Who says that horses make all the headlines? For a string of lucky young riders, a large Welsh pony named Newsworthy has been their ticket to the top.

From Devon to the Desert Circuit, he proved a kind, dependable partner with looks and talent to spare--and a knack for teaching young children. Just ask junior riders Andrew Ramsay, Julianne Befeler, Alexandra Skiffington, Christy Russo, Paris Sellon, Jessica Springsteen, Olivia Esse, Brooke Flyn, Zazou Hoffman and sisters Bretton and Kara Chad--all of whom competed on him and earned championships at the top shows in the country.

Newsworthy is a Welsh/Thoroughbred cross by the Welsh stallion Liseter Carnelian and was produced by the Thoroughbred mare News Appeal, she by Tatoi. Bred by Mr. & Mrs. Richard M. Taylor, he is a registered Virginia-bred (#90050), foaled on May 22, 1990.
